A Firm Built For And On Success

As trials become increasingly rare, so do seasoned lawyers with trial experience. So where can you turn for a lawyer with experience trying cases? King and Murray. For example, King and Murray’s very first case, the Detroit Federal Monitor case, led to significant settlements despite virtually every other large firm in metro Detroit either not recognizing the opportunity to assist the City of Detroit or not willing to take the risk. Since that extraordinary start, the firm has remained devoted to helping businesses, both large and small, achieve similar results.

We are primarily a business litigation firm that specializes in representing plaintiffs and defendants in all business disputes. This includes disputes involving financial services companies (e.g., Credit Acceptance Corporation, Quicken Loans, Capital One, Deutsche Bank, and US Bank), auto manufacturers and suppliers (e.g., FCA f/k/a, Chrysler Group LLC, and Ford Motor Company), and insurance coverage issues (e.g., Genworth Financial and Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc.). Our lawyers bring “big firm” experience to the table in a sophisticated, small firm setting that allows us to handle matters efficiently, expediently, and cost-effectively. Indeed, our clients expect us to achieve the best possible result in the courtroom at the least possible cost. And we deliver.

Our founding partners, Steve King and Tom Murray, have handled complex litigation cases throughout Michigan and across the country, in both federal and state courts and binding arbitration. King and Murray typically acts as lead trial counsel; however, when the need arises they work as co-counsel (or “local counsel”) with some of the largest and most respected law firms in the country (e.g., Skadden Arps, Allen Matkins, and Dykema). We are ready, willing, and able to take on cases anywhere, at any time, against any opponent.
